We All Know Who They Are

We may have been one of them.

We all know and love more than one fellow Catholic who has ceased practicing the Faith actively, for whatever reason. We probably will see them this Christmas – at our family gatherings or at Church.

  • Welcome them! 
  • Let them know that we miss them and that they are always welcome home.
  • Listen to them.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities to share briefly and respectfully what following Christ has done for you.
  • Extend an invitation to them to come to Mass or another church activity with you during this Christmas Season.

Several bishops have written about the responsibility we bear to reach out to and invite inactive Catholics to come home, including:
