Long live the Pope! Following God’s will…

Pope Benedict XVI announced on February 10 that he is renouncing the Chair of Peter (not exactly resigning nor retiring) effective February 28. Like so many, I felt some sadness and some surprise, but mostly a deep sense that he is following God’s will – a will he has confirmed through much humble, honest, trusting prayer and careful thought. The Holy Father, once again, is an example for us to follow, as he models for us true discernment and decision-making, two things that must go hand-in-hand if we are to know, love, and live God’s will for our lives at all times – in big things and small.

As soon as the news became public, I was invited to co-host a live radio show, Rise and Walk San Antonio, the weekly show I co-hosted on Guadalupe Radio Network-GRN for a year or so some time ago.  Find the podcast at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/rise-and-walk-san-antonio!/id302187688.
